The Mitchell House
201 W. Park Avenue

Built according to the Hudson foursquare floor plan, the house was sold as a kit by Aladdin Readi-Cut Homes in 1920. The cost to build the entire structure was $1,989, as per the Aladdin "Bungalows by Aladdin of Bay City, Michigan" 1920 catalog.
A focal point of the home is the large wraparound front porch that invites you to sit outside during the spring, summer and fall. Floyd White, a president of the Second National Bank of Culpeper, lived in this home for many years.
Extensive renovations over the last 50 years make this a lovely home for the Mitchell family, the newest owners of this charming American vernacular. Ruth Mitchell will be decorating the home in a more formal traditional Christmas style – with red, green and gold accents – to highlight the family’s collections.
The Calfee Garden Club is assisting with this home's decorations.
